Cherokee Family Adventure RV Resort is a family community. These guidelines exist to make sure every guest — from first-timers to seasonal regulars — has a safe, clean, and enjoyable stay.

Park Policies & Guidelines

General Guidelines

  • Peak season runs from Memorial Day Weekend through Labor Day Weekend.
  • Camping is an outdoor experience. Refunds are not issued due to weather, wildlife, illness, work schedules, early departures, or other circumstances beyond the resort’s control.
  • The resort is located in a natural mountain environment where insects, wildlife, and other animals may be present. Guests are responsible for keeping campsites and cabins clean and storing food properly.
  • Management reserves the right to refuse service, limit the length of stay, restrict the number of people or vehicles per site, or remove anyone from the property without refund for violating park policies.
  • Park staff are not permitted to perform repairs on guests’ RVs or personal equipment.
  • Guests are responsible for any damage caused to resort property and will be charged for repair or replacement costs.
  • Please help us protect the natural beauty of the resort. Littering, cutting trees, gathering plants, or damaging vegetation is prohibited.

Quiet Hours

Quiet hours are observed daily from 10:00 PM to 8:00 AM.

Please be considerate of your neighbors. Excessive noise, disruptive behavior, or offensive conduct is not permitted at any time.

Campsite Occupancy

  • One RV or one tent is permitted per campsite.
  • Standard campsites include 4 registered guests.
  • Additional guests are $5 per person, per night.
  • A maximum of 2 vehicles is allowed per site.
  • Only registered guests may occupy campsites. Unauthorized visitors are considered trespassing.

Children

Parents and guardians are responsible for supervising children at all times throughout the resort, including playgrounds, the pool, and common areas.

Prohibited Items

For the safety and enjoyment of all guests, the following are not permitted anywhere on resort property:

  • Fireworks
  • Firearms
  • BB guns, pellet guns, or Airsoft guns
  • Drones
  • Metal detectors
  • Personal golf carts
  • Motorized scooters, mini bikes, or similar battery-operated recreational vehicles

Smoking

Smoking and vaping are prohibited inside all cabins, rental units, and resort buildings.

A $250 cleaning fee will be charged for smoking inside any lodging accommodation.

Pool

  • Children under 14 years old must be accompanied by an adult (18 or older).
  • Running, horseplay, rough play, or unsafe behavior is prohibited.
  • Guests who fail to follow pool rules may be asked to leave the pool area.

Visitors

Day visitors are welcome with the purchase of a Day Use Pass.

  • All visitors must check in at the office upon arrival.
  • Visitors must leave the property by 10:00 PM.

Photography & Video

By entering Cherokee Family Adventure RV Resort, guests grant permission for the resort to photograph or record images or video while on the property. These images may be used for marketing, advertising, social media, or other lawful business purposes without compensation or further approval.


Check-In & Check-Out

RV & Tent Sites

  • Check-In: 1:00 PM
  • Check-Out: 12:00 PM

Cabins

  • Check-In: 3:00 PM
  • Check-Out: 11:00 AM

Reservations & Deposits

  • Full payment is required at the time of booking to guarantee your reservation.
  • A 2-night minimum stay applies during peak season.
  • A 3-night minimum stay is required for Memorial Day, Independence Day, and Labor Day weekends.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellation requests must be made by calling the resort. Text messages and emails are not accepted.

RV & Tent Sites

  • Cancel 8 or more days before arrival for a refund minus a $30 cancellation fee.
  • Cancellations made 7 days or less before arrival forfeit the deposit.

Cabins

  • Cancel 15 or more days before arrival for a refund minus a $30 cancellation fee.
  • Cancellations made 14 days or less before arrival forfeit the deposit.

Holiday Reservations

Holiday reservations require a 30-day cancellation notice.

Cancellations made fewer than 30 days before arrival will result in forfeiture of the entire deposit.

No-Shows

Reservations that are not canceled and fail to arrive will be considered no-shows. No refunds will be issued.


Pet Policy

We welcome pets in designated areas of the resort. Please review the policies below before traveling with your pet.

RV Sites

  • Up to 2 pets are allowed per site at no additional charge.
  • Pets must remain on a leash whenever outside.
  • Owners must clean up after their pets immediately.
  • Pets may not be left unattended outside.
  • Portable fences and pet pens are not permitted.

Cabins

Pet-friendly cabins are available based on availability.

  • Maximum of 2 pets.
  • $30 non-refundable pet fee per pet, per stay.
  • Pets may not be left unattended inside cabins.
  • Bringing pets into non-pet-friendly cabins or failing to register pets will result in a $300 cleaning fee.

Tent Sites

Pets are not permitted on tent sites.

Guests arriving with pets at tent sites may be required to leave without a refund.

Aggressive Pets

Aggressive dogs or pets displaying threatening behavior are not permitted.

Management reserves the right to require the immediate removal of any pet that creates a safety concern.

Failure to follow the pet policy may result in removal from the resort without refund.
